Official information for Åndalsnes and Romsdalen since 1930

A fun climbing route, surrounded by fantastic views, and you don’t need to be a professional climber or hiker to experience it!

The Romsdalsstigen Intro wall route is the perfect introduction to Via Ferrata climbing, where you move out of the comfort zone into a more stimulating and memorable experience. The climb takes a minimum of 3 hrs return, and does not require any previous climbing experience. You will be guided by professionals and secured to the mountain by cable throughout. Meet at the reception of the Norwegian Mountaineering Centre (Norsk Tindesenter) in Åndalsnes.

Booking no later than 6 p.m. the night before.

Trips may be cancelled due to poor weather conditions or too few participants.
The different tours ( 9 am and 10 am)  may also be run together of the same reason.
If your trip is cancelled or rebooked you will be notified the night before. Thank you for your understanding.

Enjoy your climb!

We`ll be up on a mountain, here is what you should bring:

Small backpack
Lunsj and lots to drink
Wind and weatherproof pants and jacket
Mid-layers according to weather
Buff or hat
Protective gloves (can be bought at the mountaineering centre)
Camera (straps required!)
Sturdy hiking footwear (preferably with Vibram soles)
Sunglasses/sunscreen
