Status April 21, 2017
The latest reports tell us that the amount of remaining snow is like an average year in the Trollstigen area. The snow removal work started up April 20th. The work is predicted to last for at least three weeks. A snow avalanche from Bispefonna is predicted to occur during the spring, like it does every year, and will affect the time of road opening. The weatherforecast for the next two weeks show a cold weather type, which means slow snowmelt. We can assume that an opening of Trollstigen might take place earliest in the 2nd half of May.
